Top contender 2020-2021
At the moment we are writing this update, AZ Alkmaar is second in the Dutch Eredivisie. Chasing Ajax for the title with only goal difference seperating the two teams. It is an easy moment to write about the clubs succes but we know the club is building for their succes already for a long time.
Innovative philosophy
The AZ Youth Academy hugely developed itself in recent years and constantly keeps striving for further progression. Innovative is a word that fits the Alkmaar breeding pond, which won the prestigious Rinus Michels Award for best youth academy of the Netherlands in 2015 and 2016.
Hospitality
Besides their innovative style their friendly environment stands out. The atmosphere almost feels the same as at your own local club. Main difference is the elite facilities and perhaps the high quality coaching but the staff makes you feel at home and brings out the best in you.
